Gua tree is over 150 year of age and its branches weaving together to create a big trellis called “Gian Gua” by locals. At the present, the tree has trellis over 2.700m² of wide, 12m of height. According to local belief, people constructed a small temple to worship a Goddess called “Thuong Dong Co Hi” in Vietnamese because of their respect and gratefulness to her. For remote and difficult terrain, many important meetings of The Southwest Area of Can Tho Committee Province were held here. It was also a place to hide weapons, documents, to train, gather and transfer liberation army. It is recognized as a city historical relic in 2013.
