Can Tho to ready for Day of Tourism - Ninh Kieu Lantern Night Festival

From 19/8 to 21/8/2017, Can Tho city will organize "Day of Tourism - Ninh Kieu Lantern Night Festival" 1st in 2017 at Ninh Kieu Quay.

The festival is organized to honor and affirm the advantages and potential of tourism development of Ninh Kieu district, harmonizing the trend of tourism development of Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta.

The festival is also a chance to promote the "Mekong Delta - Ninh Kieu Tourist Attraction" which was recognized by the Mekong Delta Tourism Association in 2015. Since then, in the time to come Ninh Ninh Kieu There will be more conditions to develop into the Typical National Tourist Attraction.

For the first time in Can Tho, the festival has many special activities and attractions: Lantern making contest; Tourism promotion; Photo album exhibition; Exhibitions of books, newspapers, magazines, calligraphy, portraiture; Traditional boat racing; Fine art contests for scrap materials; "Cake - Southern folk food” contest; Don ca tai tu; Folk games…

This event is a new highlight of Ninh Kieu district, contributing to the development of new tourism products to attract tourists to Can Tho city. The festival, organized by the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu District in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho city, promises to be held annually to help diversify the system of events and festivals in Can Tho city.
