In the series of activities to welcome the Party and the Spring of “Rooster Year – 2017”, Can Tho city plans to organize program Spring 2017 at Can Tho City Museum and Tao Dan Park, Ninh Kieu District (from 2017, January 13th to 15th) or (from 2016, December 16th to 18th of lunar).
This year program includes in many activities: reappear traditional trade villages, such as basket knitting, net weaving, mat weaving, carving, and calligraphy. Cuisine of the Vietnamese people such as pouring rice pancake folded in half, wrapping cylindrical glutinous rice cake with cam leave, cake printed from the molds… Beside, typical specialties of the Khmer people: jaggery cake, pumpkin cake…; the Chinese people’s cuisine with radish cake, peach cake…
With impressive booths, visitors not only to see products make reminiscent rustic image of Lunar New Year at urban area of rivers and waters but also to meet, exchange and to be improved skills with artisans coming from traditional trade villages in Can Tho.
Coming to this festival, Tourism Development Centre of Can Tho city participates in organizing the booth to introduce, promote images, destinations and tourism products as well as Can Tho city tourism services to travelers, to provide in reliable information about tourism programs and events in 2017 for visitors. And this is an opportunity for enterprises to introduce information about products, services, attractive tours – new tourism routes to the Lunar new Year, to meet the demand for information and to go traveling of people.
