We offer two tour options for Floating Market Tours in Can Tho, either a longer 7 hour tour visiting both markets (Phong Dien and Cai Rang), gardens, canals and stops at sights of interest for $US42 per boat (up to 3 people/US$12 additional passengers), or a shorter tour visiting the closer Cai Rang market for $US25 per boat (up to 3 people/US$6 additional passengers). Both tours include a free taxi pickup at your hotel to bring you to the boats.

The floating markets of Can Tho, Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating market, are famous for its everyday trading. Many local products are sold here and in particular a large variety of fruits, some of which you might have never seen before. There are small boats offering all kinds of snacks and local soups from which you can get your early breakfast. It is 16 km to Cai Rang floating market and around 32 kilometres to get to Phong Dien floating market from Can Tho pier. During the tours you will have the chance to see the nature of the Mekong delta and if you are lucky some wild animals.

The Can Tho markets are a great chance to see an authentic floating market with REAL TRADING going on. The Can tho floating markets are not just tourist markets like what you find in places like Bangkok. With more and more transportation moved to newly build roads around Asia, this might be one of your last chances to capture a bit of the old boat to boat trading atmosphere on the Mekong.
