Opening of the Ok Om Bok Festival of Khmer people in Can Tho city in 2017
On the evening of 01-11 in O Mon District, the Opening Ceremony of O Mon District Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival - Ok Om Bok Festival of Khmer people. Can Tho for the first time in 2017.
The Ok Om Bok festival of the Khmer people was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City in cooperation with the People's Committee of O Mon District to organize the first O Mon- Can Tho. This is one of the main activities of the locality to introduce, promote for tourists near Can Tho, understand the cultural characteristics of the Khmer people, as well as the cultural identity of the ethnic groups living in the city.
The festival has many activities such as performances of the five-tone music of the Khmer people, the festival of cultural performances and ethnic folk games, traditional folk games of the Khmer people; decorative fruit tray and flower art ... to introduce visitors about the folk cake, the costumes, everyday items, cultural characteristics of the ethnicity.
