Ba Den Mountain, Ba Pagoda and Ba Chua Xu Temple are popular destinations to name a few for southern pilgrims and visitors during the first days of the Lunar New Year.
Ba Thien Hau (Pagoda of the Lady Thien Hau) is one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful temples of Chinese pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City. Located on Nguyen Du Street, Thu Dau Mot District, the pagoda is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Lady of the Sea (“Tian Hou” as transcribed from the Chinese), who is also known as “Mazu”. High view of Jesus Christ statute standing on Nho (small) Mountain in Vung Tau City. Cao Dai Tay Ninh Church, around 5km from Tay Ninh Town, is a typical architecture of Cao Dai religion in Tay Ninh. Ba Den Mountain in Thanh Tanh village, Hoa Thanh district, Tay Ninh province is the highest mountain in the south. Pagodas on the mountain are favorite destinations for pilgrims during the Lunar New Year and on the fifteen day of lunar August. Chua Chan Mountain in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai province is the second highest mountain of the South region at 800 meters above sea level. On the fifteen day of lunar January and July, thousands of people from near and far climb hundreds of stairs to reach Linh Ung pagoda to pray for good luck and health. Truc Lam Zen Monastery is one of the three largest pagoda in Vietnam. Ba Chua Xu Temple is located at the foot of Sam Mountain, An Giang province. |
