Ninh Kieu pedestrian bridge
Inaugurated and used on the date 6/2/2016, Ninh Kieu pedestrian bridge has attracted the attention of residents and tourists to visit. Pedestrian bridge was put into operation on Lunar New Year’s the occasion has received positive feedback from residents and visitors enjoy sightseeing in the spring. It is estimated that there are more than 5,000 visitors to enjoy sightseeing every day, walking over the bridge, taking souvenir photos of the mysterious and fanciful light orchestra as well as enjoy cool wind blowing in from Hau River.
This is the first pedestrian bridge in Mekong River Delta Region is a modern building with semi-permanent reinforced concrete at a cost of 49.6 billion. The length of is 199 m, the width of is 7.2 m, is curved S letter-shaped. The body of bridge has two extension parts was built two lotus statues and accommodation sheltered with lighting systems in scenario by colored led lights to be used from solar energy.
This work is the landscape’s highlight between the city, as new tourism products to meet the needs to go walking for local people, attracting domestic and foreign tourists contributed to a premise put increasingly Can Tho city develop in the future.
